How We Select the Services We Test

We select the VPNs featured on this site based on their reputation, their longevity on the market, and the availability of verifiable information about their privacy policy (independent audits, jurisdiction, logging policy).

Our Evaluation Criteria

Each service is rated across five areas: security (encryption, Kill Switch, protection against DNS/IP leaks), speed measured across multiple servers, price relative to features, ease of use of the applications, and quality of customer support. We never rate a VPN on its ability to circumvent geographic restrictions or access content subject to legal limitations.

Independence from Commercial Partnerships

MeilleurVPN.fr earns affiliate commissions when visitors subscribe to a service through our links (see our affiliate disclosure). These commercial partnerships do not influence our ratings or the rankings in our comparisons. A partner service that performs worse than a non-partner competitor will always be presented as such.
